DAMAC hands over first of 4000 units
Rate of delivery increases as 10 key properties near completion
DAMAC Properties will delivery almost 4000 units over the next twelve months, with more than 10 projects currently nearing completion.
The announcement was made ahead of delivery of their Jumeirah Village project.
Properties from the three-part residential complex are now being handed over, including Emirates Gardens One, which has 550 units; Emirates Gardens Two and the Tuscan Residence.
The properties are located in “new Dubai” and are designed with Mediterranean and Arabic influences.
“We have awarded 20 projects in the last five months, totalling US $1 billion. In the next 7 months we will deliver seven towers; 4000 units. We have delivered 3500 units to date, so very much our message is construction, progress and really what we have been focusing on for the last two years which is building, building, building,” said senior vice president – communications Niall McLaughlan at Cityscape Global 2010.
DAMAC named 2009 ‘the year of construction’.
“We have had a very intensive communication programme over the last two years, we have never shied away from publicity like some of our peers may have, so people know DAMAC has been around, they know our message throughout that time has been on construction.”
