Emaar Hospitality unveils plans for Vida Dubai Mall hotel
New hotel will be linked directly to The Dubai Mall
Emaar Hospitality Group has just announced the Vida Dubai Mall, a new hotel that will offer views of the Burj Khalifa and will be linked directly to The Dubai Mall. The hotel is being developed in collaboration with Vida Hotels and Resorts, and is expected to open in 2021.
According to a statement from Emaar Hospitality, the development will consist of two towers – the 195-room Vida Dubai Mall and 614 serviced residences under the Vida Residences Dubai Mall brand. The hotel and 380 serviced residences will be in the 55-storey tower, while the remaining serviced residences will feature in the smaller 38-storey tower.
The towers will be linked by a seven-storey podium, which will feature restaurants, retail and leisure attractions. The podium-level amenities will include an outdoor swimming pool, sunbathing deck, kids club, yoga deck and events spaces, which overlook the Burj Khalifa.
“Vida Hotels and Resorts has set a distinctive identity in the hospitality sector of Dubai as stimulating environments where convenience meets interactivity, reflecting the aspirations of the new generation of travelers. With its focus on serving as lively and vibrant hubs where inspiring minds can create, connect and come alive, Vida hotels are fast expanding their footprint with 10 upcoming projects in the UAE and international markets,” explained Olivier Harnisch, chief executive officer of Emaar Hospitality Group.
Emaar Hospitality says the hotel will be elegant and simple, and will celebrate fashion craftsmanship through ‘vibrant’ seating areas and ‘fashion-forward artwork’. The interiors will be laid out to allow in natural light and maximise outdoor views.
The firm says that the Vida Dubai Mall will stand out owing to its central location, and its link to the world’s largest retail and lifestyle destination. Emaar Hospitality also points out that the hotel and serviced residences provide easy access to the nearby Dubai International Financial Centre, and Dubai International Convention Centre.
