Arabtec unit wins $31m contract for Dubai Creek Harbour project
Emirates Falcon Electromechanical Co. to carry out MEP works at Creekside 18 Project
A unit of the Dubai-listed Arabtec Holding has won a AED 113 million ($31m) contract for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) works at a project within the Dubai Creek Harbour development.
Arabtec Holding’s wholly owned subsidiary, EFECO (Emirates Falcon Electromechanical Co.) has entered into a contract with Al Naboodah for MEP works for the Creekside 18 project, according to a statement to the Dubai Financial Market.
EFECO has been selected for the execution and completion of the MEP works of two 37-
storey residential towers. The duration of the project will be 22 months, according to the bourse statement.
Arabtec Holding CEO Hamish Tyrwhitt said: “We are pleased that EFECO has been awarded the Creekside 18 Project at the Dubai Creek Harbour Development. This award demonstrates our integrated capabilities across our operating entities and provides core competency service to our clients. We continue to remain on track as we execute our strategic roadmap.”
EFECO will commence work on the project in July 2017 for a duration of 22 months, according to the statement.
The massive Dubai Creek Harbour development is a joint venture between Emaar Properties and Dubai Holding.
The 6 sq km mixed-use development includes waterfront resorts, a yacht club and a marina as well as retail and commercial space.
