Al Shafar Interiors appoints new MD to drive growth

Mazen Kaba has just been appointed managing director of Al Shafar Interiors (ASI), according to a statement by the firm. ASI, a subsidiary of Al Shafar General Contracting (ASGC), says that Kaba will drive a new strategic focus on diversification and growth.

Kaba has decades of experience across the Middle East and Africa, having supervised the delivery of several multi-million dollar projects in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Angola, and Syria. As part of his role, Kaba will be involved with key ASI projects in the region. Kaba will also be involved with projects that fall under the wider ASGC umbrella, in addition to collaborations with other contractors.

The firm says that diversification is key to its plans to boosting its customisation capabilities, and will enter new business lines and appoint talented professionals. Kaba will be responsible for this, as well as increasing operational efficiency, and introducing new technological solutions and manufacturing methods.

Some of the firm’s highest profile projects include Green Community phase 2 and 3, Bluewaters Island Residential, and La Mer Open Beach Retail.
