Grayscale completes work on Dubai Properties project

Grayscale Interiors has completed its contract with Dubai Properties (DP) involving 21 apartments ranging from studios to four-bedroom units in Dubai’s Jumeirah Beach Residences community. Under the terms of its contract, Grayscale was responsible for the design and procurement across furniture, fixtures and equipment (FF&E), as well as operating supplies and equipment (OS&E).

The site’s dimensions were approximately 28,100sqft spread across 21 apartments. The units featured different layouts and styles – Dubai Properties wanted to create livable spaces that could convert into holiday homes. The worksite was handed over to Grayscale in a standard built-up state with walls, floors and ceilings, including built-in joinery for wardrobe and kitchen.

“Grayscale had four team members onsite with our work mostly involving coordination and lead time management for deliveries, due to most items originating from various quality vendors and subcontractors. I personally handled the client relationship management to ensure project parameters were satisfactorily met,” explained Dr. Gary Vastag, founder and managing director of Grayscale Interiors.

Dubai Properties invited a handful of firms to tender for the project, before the contract – worth approximately $680,000 – was awarded to Grayscale Interiors.

“We were instructed by our client to deliver a ‘home away from home’ end-user experience pertaining to design and furnishings. This led to substantial sourcing, as each style of apartment required a distinctive personality and living experience. Various items, such as electronics and bedding, were sourced from the same suppliers,” continued Vastag.
