The opening of the $1 billion Reem Mall in Abu Dhabi has been pushed back by two years to 2020, Reuters reported.
The delay of the project on Reem Island is partly due to issues with design and delays in receiving approvals, the news agency said, quoting Al Farwaniya Chief Executive Shane Eldstrom.
A new tender will be awarded later this year, Eldstrom was reported as saying.
Reem Mall is set to feature 450 stores and an indoor snow park across 2 million square feet of leaseable space.
Majid Al Futtaim has been picked to operate the indoor snow park, it was announced at the press conference.
