ADIH completes 65% of Qatar’s Entertainment City

Project likely to cost more than the initial $3bn budgeted
Although Abu Dhabi Investment House has completed 65% of the Entertainment City in Qatar, a senior official said on Monday that it was likely that the project would cost more than the initial $3bn budgeted.
Speaking to Zawya Projects Monitor on the condition of anonymity, the source said ADIH planned to build Qatar Entertainment City in the Lusail Development, on a plot of land measuring 1m m2. Of this, 18,000m2 will be dedicated towards entertainment purposes.
The city will also include a theme park, a 1.5km sea canal, a theatre, hotels, retail space and a residential community that has 4,500 units. A snow dome is also being built on site.
