Parsons appoints EVP of logistics and training division

Technology-driven engineering services firm Parsons has announced the appointment of Wendy Van Wickle as executive vice president of the company’s logistics and training division.

Based out of the company’s office in Centreville, Virginia, she will be responsible for the division’s profit and loss, strategy and operational performance.

Parsons is a key player in several markets with a focus on infrastructure, defense, security and construction. In 2016, the firm was awarded a $3.26bn contract to upgrade Dubai’s sewer system; the project is scheduled for completion in 2020, and will replace more than 121 sewage pumping stations spread across Dubai.

Speaking about the appointment, Carey Smith, Parsons group president said, “Wendy’s aerospace and defense industry experience spans integrated logistics support, training, IT solutions, and cyber sustainment. We’re pleased to welcome her to the Parsons team.”

Van Wickle was previously vice president of ground operations and logistics solutions for a defense company. Here, she was responsible for over $350-million in revenue and more than 1,000 employees in the Middle East, Europe and United States.

She also served as senior program manager at Aberdeen Proving Ground for a cybersecurity company, and aviation mission support and senior program manager responsible for joint technical services and range support for a global aerospace, defense, security, and advanced technologies company.
