Ajman gives green light to 30,000sqm bus station

Station is a part of a series of projects being planned for 2017, as part of the Ajman Strategic Vision 2021

Ajman’s Crown Prince, Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, has approved the construction of a 30,000sqm bus station that will cost $1.6 million to build, so as to ease the movement of commuters from the emirate, to other parts of the UAE.

The designs and objectives of the project were approved by the Crown Prince, following a meeting with Omer Ahmed Omair, general manager of the Emirates Transport Corporation (ETC) in Ajman.

In a statement to WAM, Omair said that the bus station was part of a series of projects being planned by the ETC for implementation in 2017, under the Ajman Strategic Vision 2021.

“The 30,000-square metre station will have 30 slots for intercity buses, and will house administrative, commercial, recreational, parking and services facilities,” he said.

Its location on the Mohammed bin Zayed Road will facilitate an easy connection with other emirates across the country, he further added.
