The Kuwaiti Ministry of Public Works has awarded a total of 287 contracts in the first half of 2012, it was announced earlier this week.
The contracts were mainly for the construction and maintenance of the headquarters facility for the Public Authority for Minor Affairs, as well as Jamal Abdelnasser Street and Al-Messila Suburb.
Other deals also included building and maintaining highways and sewage systems in various areas, while working on expansion plans on Jaber Al-Ahmad Hospital, Mubarak Al-Kabeer Port and Kuwait International Airport.
Between January and June this year, development projects to be completed include mainly Manpower and Government Restructuring Programme buildings, Khitan Police Station and the State Executive Apparatus.
