$31.2m in contracts awarded for Jubail projects
Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu awards local contractors three different projects
Saudi Arabia’s Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu (RCJY) selected local contractors for three different projects, worth a total of $31.2m within the Jubail Industrial City.
The Arabian Company for Supplies and Architectural Contracting was awarded the first deal to operate and maintain the Jubail Industrial College (JIC), which comprises 50 buildings.
Under the five-year $11.7m contract, the firm will be responsible for the installation of electrical and mechanical fixtures, sewage networks, air-conditioning and heating systems, fire protection systems, loudspeakers, and technical failure reporting systems.
The second contract, worth over $10.6m, went to Mohammed Abdullah Al-Masad & Company to renovate existing roads in the industrial area, sewage networks and others.
Tahir Odwani General Contracting Establishment won the third contract, under which it is to build within 20 months an operation and maintenance complex in Jubail Industrial City to house RCJY offices, contractors, warehouses, a mosque and mechanical and maintenance workshops.
