A tender for the expansion of Egypt’s Sharm El-Sheikh International Airport is being prepared, it has been reported.
A source from the Egyptian Airports Company (EAC) said that the company is preparing the tender, according to Daily News Egypt.
The plan includes an expansion of terminal two to increase its capacity by 2 million passengers per year, bringing the total capacity of the airport to 9.5 million, it was reported.
Egypt’s Ministry of International Cooperation signed a loan agreement worth $457m with the Islamic Development Bank to finance the development of the airport by adding a new passenger terminal, Daily News Egypt reported.
