Work on Emaar’s beachfront hotel starts in Dubai
Middle East Foundation Group has been awarded enabling works contract for the project
Construction of The Address Residences Jumeirah Resort + Spa has commenced, with Middle East Foundation Group appointed as the enabling works contractor, it has been announced.
The project, which is being developed by Emaar Hospitality Group, is set to be the tallest tower on the beach once complete.
Hamptons International, the real estate agent for the project, said that the project would be built on the last available land plot for development on Jumeirah Beach Walk in Dubai Marina.
The foundation work for the project includes 22km of bored piling for the tower development, with more than 222,000 cubic metres of earth excavated for the three basement levels. The total built up area for the project will be 255,000sqm.
The Address Residences Jumeirah Resort + Spa has been designed as a single tower, arranged in a split formation so as to maximise light and ensure residents have views of the Arabian Gulf and Dubai Marina. This creates the impression of two towers, the agency said.
Also included in the building will be infinity pools and terraces, which have been laid out in a landscaped oasis which will complement the surrounding waterfront setting.
There are three key components to the project – The Address Jumeirah Resort + Spa which will have 183 rooms and suites; The Address Residences Jumeirah Resort + Spa, which will comprise of serviced apartments served by The Address Hotels + Resorts. Both of these will be located in the West Tower, which has 75 levels and is 303m high.
The third component is the residential apartments – The Residences Jumeirah Dubai – which will be managed by The Address. This will be located in the East Tower, while a lobby will link both structures.
