Barwa to launch 6,000 apartments into Qatari real estate market

$2bn residential complex is expected to house about 25,000 people once tenants’ occupation is complete

Qatari developer Barwa Real Estate Companyhas opened its fully-furnished 6,000-unit Barwa City project in Mesaimeer.
The $2bn complex, which spreads over an area that runs parallel to Doha-Abu Hamour road, is expected to house about 25,000 people when tenants’ occupation is complete.
Located approximately 15 minutes from both the Airport and the centre of Doha, Barwa City has a total built area of 2.7million square metres and provides 200,000sq metres of green spaces, 6,968 affordable, modern apartments in 128 residential buildings for tenants, and investors.
Barwa, Qatar’s second largest developer by market capitalisation, is an affiliate of Qatar Investment Authority, which holds a 45% stake in the company.
