Abu Dhabi project to have world’s tallest indoor climbing wall
Developer Miral says $100m ‘Clymb’ development on Yas Island was 35% complete as of the beginning of October
A futuristic attraction housing the world’s tallest indoor climbing wall and widest flight chamber is under construction in Abu Dhabi.
Developer Miral says work is well underway on its $100 million ‘Clymb’ project, located on Yas Island.
The leisure attraction, next to the Yas Mall, is expected to complete in 2018, Miral said in a statement.
Clymb will have a 9.75-metre-wide flight chamber and world’s tallest indoor climbing wall at a height of 43 metres, the Miral statement said.
Retail, food and beverage and entertainment spaces will also be part of the attraction, which will be linked to the Yas Mall.
Zublin Construction has been appointed the main contractor, Miral said, with project development progress having reached 35% at the beginning of October.
