Makkah municipality to provide housing for 600,000 residents

Dhaheyet Somu Project is part of the Bawabat Makkah project that will be developed over 15 years
The municipality of the holy city of Makkah, Saudi Arabia, has launched a residential development project covering an area of 1.5m m2.
The ‘Dhaheyet Somu Project’ on the Makkah-Jeddah Highway is part of the Bawabat Makkah project that covers an area of 85m m2 in the western suburb of Makkah and that will be developed over 15 years to provide housing for 600,000 residents.
The new project will feature residential units, parks, mosques, educational as well as health and entertainment institutions and facilities.
The developer of the project is Bawabat Makkah Company, an investment arm of the Makkah municipality.
