Emaar Properties joins up with DLD’s Tanmia

Agreement will see companies cooperate on making informed decisions on real estate investment

Developer of the world’s tallest building, Emaar Properties, has entered into an agreement with the Dubai Land Department (DLD), under which Emaar joins the DLD’s real estate development initiative (Tanmia).

According to the deal, the DLD will propose investment opportunities to Emaar, which would in turn review the projects and take proper decisions in accordance with its strategy.

“Through the agreement, Emaar will cooperate to help make informed decisions on real estate investment, leveraging the excellent investment environment in Dubai facilitated through the initiatives of the Dubai Land Department,” said the managing director of Emaar Properties, Ahmad al Matrooshi.

Launched in September 2011, Tanmia aims to revitalise the real estate market by focusing on the incomplete projects under all categories.

Majida Ali Rashid, manager, Real Estate Investment Management and Promotion Centre, said that the Department was keen on laying down the beginning of a strategic mutual cooperation in Dubai.

“The Department is keen on laying strong foundations of strategic mutual cooperation, motivated by our quest to support and enhance our collaboration in an effective manner that would contribute to developing real estate businesses and activities in Dubai, improving all technical, training and practical aspects for a more prosperous real estate sector.”

Rashid added that the agreement would strengthen mutual cooperation links between both parties as part of the Tanmia, which is which is an investment development program that seeks to provide unique investment opportunities.

It would also help Emaar take informed decisions by providing a proper investment environment and by saving time, effort and money thanks to the long experience and best practices applied by the Department.
