Dubai Properties adding 18 buildings at Remraam

Construction is almost complete at 18 new buildings that Dubai Properties (DP) has made available for lease in its Remraam community located in Dubailand.

The Dubai-based master developer said in a statement that the buildings together comprise 1441 units, which are 90% complete. It added that 60 buildings have now been handed over in the Remraam development, and all new buildings, as well as the development’s second community centre, are set for full completion and handover by the fourth quarter of 2017.

DP said that its strategy of addressing the high demand for affordable housing in Dubai falls in line with the proposed law by Dubai Municipality for a mandatory 15-20% affordable housing in future residential developments.

The developer added that it is using innovative construction techniques to lower costs and offering flexible payment plans to enable the emirate’s low- to-middle income earners to contribute to the growth of the city.

Sahar Al Ansari, senior executive director, Residential Asset Management, Dubai Properties, said: “Remraam is a serene community featuring a mix of low and high-rise residential buildings and offers a wide range of quality affordable apartment options. Dubai Properties is committed to addressing the increasing need for affordable housing in Dubai, and these new buildings and the additional community centre are in line with our strategy to meet this evident socio-economic demand by offering residents the opportunity to lease spacious and comfortable homes with world-class community and retail facilities.”

The new community centre at Remraam aims to widen the existing offering by offering residents additional choices to meet their day-to-day retail, lifestyle and sporting needs, DP said. The community will also feature a school and a nursery, with construction of the nursery already underway.
