Cityscape Global show kicks off in Dubai

The Cityscape Global real estate exhibition in Dubai has opened its doors, with a raft of high-profile announcements expected from the region’s top property developers.

Emaar Properties, Nakheel and Deyaar are among those exhibiting at this year’s show, held at the Dubai World Trade Centre.

More than 270 exhibitors from 30 countries are expected at the event, which is now in its 15th year.

Cityscape was toured by Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, on its opening day.

The opening was preceded by a major announcement by Dubai-based developer Nakheel, which on Monday unveiled a luxury project located on the Palm Jumeirah.

The Palm 360 project will be the main feature of Nakheel’s stand at Cityscape Global.

Fellow Dubai developer Emaar Properties is also showcasing its portfolio of mega-developments in Dubai and other international markets.

It is displaying a model of The Tower, set to be Dubai’s tallest building, and the centrepiece of the 6 sq km master-planned Dubai Creek Harbour community. Emaar also plans to showcase its mega-development Dubai Hills Estate, a joint venture with Meraas Holding.

Developer Deyaar is showcasing several key properties including: The Atria, a twin-tower project located in Dubai’s Business Bay; the Montrose tower development in Dubai Science Park; and the Midtown project, a community development within Dubai Production City.

Other exhibitors include Al Habtoor Group, Atkins, Bloom Properties, CBRE, Damac Properties and Dubai Holding.

Cityscape runs until September 8.
