Nakheel offers villa owners on The Palm more land
Strong demand by owners of villas on The Palm for extra land to extend their properties
Dubai’s state-owned property developer, Nakheel, has started selling land on The Palm in response to ‘strong demand’ by owners of villas on the man-made island seeking to extend their gardens.
“As a result, we are giving them the chance to do so by purchasing extra land,” the firm said. “We have had an excellent response so far, with many sales confirmed and more applications currently being assessed,” a Nakheel spokeswoman was quoted as saying by The National.
Nakheel also said that ground works at the ‘Palma Residences’ are on schedule and that the vibrocompaction process, which involves densifying loose sands to create stable foundation soils, will be completed in the next three months.
Palma Residences, located on 61,000m2 of reclaimed land off the eastern side of Palm Jumeirah’s trunk, is a collection of 104 Mediterranean-style residential units, each with direct beach or pool access.
The development, one of several Nakheel projects in the pipeline for Palm Jumeirah this year, is due for completion by the end of 2013.
