The Abu Dhabi-listed developer Aldar Properties has announced plans to launch the next precinct of Yas Acres, its flagship golf and waterfront project on Yas Island.

The news comes in the wake of the company saying that it has sold 90% of the villas and townhouses launched to date in the first two precincts of the development. Aldar added that 80% of the sales came from new customers to Aldar, with a number of customers planning to be owner-occupiers.

It added that the Yas Acres project had generated significant interest from across the GCC and wider MENA region, as well as from the international markets.

“We are extremely pleased with the sales success of Yas Acres but also with the number of new customers we have drawn in from different countries,” said Mohamed Khalifa Al Mubarak, chief executive officer of Aldar Properties.

“As we prepare to launch the next precinct in the coming weeks it is encouraging to see the significant interest shown by owner-occupiers, underlining the appeal of Yas Island living,” he continued.

“Yas Acres offers all the key elements that make a house a family home. The distinct community and exceptional design quality of the villas and townhouses make it one of the most sought-after addresses in Abu Dhabi, not to mention the convenient access to an array of amenities both within the development and on Yas Island – Abu Dhabi’s most exciting destination.”

Yas Island is a recognised destination for entertainment and leisure, and residents will benefit from being minutes away from attractions like the Ferrari World theme park and the Formula 1 race track.

The development also offers close proximity to seven hotels, Yas Mall, Yas Waterworld, du arena, Yas Links Golf Club, and more than 100 cafés and restaurants.

In complying with the emirate’s Real Estate Law, Yas Acres is registered with the Abu Dhabi Municipality and ESCROW accounts are being operated for all purchases, the developer added.
