Cluttons Oman has said there are significant opportunities for warehousing development in the sultanate, as the country seeks to become a dominant entry and exit point of goods for countries in the GCC region and beyond.
Oman’s logistics and supply chain sector is set to continue to grow, and would benefit from significant investment in infrastructure, warehousing and transportation. Currently, the majority of warehousing/light industrial units in Oman are built by their owners, leaving a very limited supply of these units available for rent, the consultancy said.
“There is an evident gap in the market for modern warehousing and light industrial units to serve the needs of the expanding manufacturing and logistics sectors in Oman,” said Matthew Wright, development and industrial consultant, Cluttons Oman.
