Sadara awards Jacobs EPCM contract

Jacobs Engineering Group will be responsible for construction management, field engineering support and management

US based construction services firm, Jacobs Engineering Group, has won an engineering, procurement and construction management (EPCM) contract from Sadara Chemical Company (Sadara) for three polyethylene trains.

Sadara, a joint venture between Saudi Aramco and The Dow Chemical Company, is building a petrochemical complex in Jubail Industrial City comprising 26 manufacturing units that will be one of the world’s largest integrated chemical facilities, and the largest ever built in a single phase.

According to the terms of the contract, Jacobs will be responsible for construction management, field engineering support, and management of Lump Sum Procure Build (LSPB) construction contractors, field materials management, In-Kingdom procurement services and project services support for the three polyethylene trains.
