Spanish contractor wins two contracts in Oman

Assignia Infraestructuras will build commercial and mixed use developments in Sultanate

Spanish construction and services group, Assignia Infraestructuras, has announced it has secured two new construction contracts in the Sultanate of Oman.

The first deal is for the construction of the headquarters and distribution centre for Thaiba Pharma, one of the largest pharmaceutical companies in the Sultanate. Located within the new industrial area of Rusayl in the governorate of Muscat, the building will comprise some 3.114 m2 of offices arranged over four floors, and an equipped distribution and storage centre of 2,200 m2.

The second contract involves the construction of a commercial and residential building for Oman70 Holding, which is wholly-owned by the pension fund of the Royal Omani Police.

The mixed-use project will be located in the central area of Ghala in Muscat, and will consist of 54 homes on nine floors, with commercial areas on the ground floor, with a total built area of 6,500 m2.
