Abu Dhabi approves $46m Bani Yas road network
Infrastructure project will be complete in two years, municipality says
A new network of internal roads and parking lots will be developed in the Abu Dhabi suburb of Bani Yas as part of the infrastructure development of the UAE capital, it has been announced.
In a statement, the Municipality of Abu Dhabi city said that work on the $46.83 million project to create an integrated road network would begin shortly. Once complete, the network will stretch past 317 plots in Bani Yas East 11, while 1,229 parking spaces will be created.
The construction schedule for the project is two years, the statement added.
Further details revealed by the municipality include figures that show the internal road network will extend for 17.5 kilometres, while pavements and kerbstones will be set up across 34.8 kilometres.
In addition, the required connections for telecommunications, drainage and sewage networks will be installed, the municipality said.
