Daikin AC systems receive Abu Dhabi environmental certification

Daikin’s VRV IV Series of air conditioning systems has received the Abu Dhabi Trustmark for Environmental Performance from the Abu Dhabi Quality Conformity Council (QCC), according to a statement by the Japanese cooling specialist.

The Osaka-based company said its VRV IV series, which is equipped to handle the heat of the Middle East, constantly monitors ambient temperatures and adjusts both the flow and temperature of the refrigerant to achieve maximum efficiency and minimum power consumption.

The product line earlier received ‘The Green Building Product of the Year 2016’ award from the Emirates Green Building Council, which recognises companies that demonstrate clear implementation of sustainable design, the statement added.

Daikin also announced the QCC Certification and Emirates GBC Award to its regional dealers at an annual meeting, where the company presented awards to over 73 dealers across the UAE for their sales performance in 2015.

“We congratulate all the dealers and will continue our collaboration together, along with a fully-fledged new product range that not only suits the high ambient temperature of the region but also meets the highest level of efficiency and compliance with regional regulators such as: ESMA, ESTIDAMA, QCC, SASO, MEW and others,” said Geoff Watson, deputy general manager Daikin Middle East and Africa.
