Arabtec Construction in Dubai Airport contract win

Multi-million dirham contract for phase three works

Arabtec Construction has been awarded a contract worth AED561m for structural works, MEP, special airport systems, finishes and site works for phase three of the Terminal 2 expansion at Dubai International Airport.

This is the 12th civil aviation contract awarded to the UAE-based giant, with other projects including Passenger Terminals, Control Towers, Energy Centers, Maintenance Hangars, Cargo Buildings and fuel storage and distribution areas at Dubai Airport and Dubai World Central.

Projects included renovation, expansion, civil works, structural works, MEP, SAS, water drainage and sewerage systems.

News of the letter of award was released on January 4.

“We are proud to be awarded repeated projects with Dubai Civil Aviation and we very much value this special relationship which we have built over the years due to our outstanding performance that has earned us the trust and confidence of our clients,” Arabtec Construction CEO Greg Christofides, is quoted as saying in a statement.

The project is expected to take 25 months following commencement.
