The developer behind the AED2.4 billion ($653m) Tilal City in Sharjah says it has allocated land for six community mosques at the project.
Tilal Properties says the six mosques will together have a total capacity of 4,100 worshippers to accommodate residents from within the development as well as neighbouring areas.
Tilal City, which comprises 1855 land plots, offers the opportunity to UAE residents, as well as GCC nationals, to buy or lease land and develop properties in Sharjah for the first time ever.
Non-Arab expats can purchase land plots on a 100-year leasehold basis, while freehold land plots are available for GCC nationals and the UAE’s Arab residents. The landowners will not be charged any community fees.
Tilal City will also include 11 educational facilities, including schools and early development centres for children, along with leisure centres, healthcare facilities and civil defence stations.
