Belhasa division wins projects totalling “more than $25 million”

Masafi and RAK projects awarded by FEWA

The Federal Electricity and Water Authority (FEWA) has awarded a string of new project contracts to the Watertec division of Belhasa Projects.

The first, is a DN600 transmission pipeline stretching from Thouban pumping station to Masafi WDC. The company also won the contract for the design and construction of two 10MIG RCC Pre-stressed Water Tanks with associated piping at Burairat in Ras Al Khaimah and the bid for the design and construction of two 4 MIG RCC Pre-Stressed Water Tanks with piping components at Shokha Area , also in in Ras Al Khaimah.

According to Greg Garner, CEO of Belhasa Projects, “We won the contract against strong bids from other competitors,” said Belhasa Projects CEO Greg Garner.

“Our experience and history of working on similar projects in the past helped us to score a point.  We have already started the work in Fujairah,” Garner added.

The combined value of the three contracts is more than USD 25 million in total.

“We faced tough competition to win the new projects,” commented Aziz Ayoub Watertec, business unit manager.

“However, our proven expertise, comprehensive technical submission and the value we offered enhanced the client’s confidence in the quality of our work. This is a very clear reflection on the quality and high degree of service that we provide at all times,” Ayoub added.
