The company due to manage and operate Khalifa Port when it opens this year, has gained a re-certification of its QMS ISO 9001:2008 from Bureau Veritas, and has maintained certifications in Environmental Management Standard and Occupational Health and Safety Management System under ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001.

Originally certified the ISO 9001:2000 in November 2008, in 2009 ADT was upgraded to ISO 9001:2008 and the company’s activities in the three ports it operates – Mina Zayed, Musaffah Port and Free Port in Abu Dhabi  – have been re-certified.

Abu Dhabi Terminals (ADT) has successfully re-certified its Quality Management System (QMS) for the ISO 9001:2008 certification from Bureau Veritas and maintained certifications in Environmental Management Standard & Occupational Health and Safety Management System under ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001

“The safety of everyone in our ports is our top priority, and in April 2010 we made a commitment to further increase safety and to reduce the impact our services have on the environment,” commented ADT CEO Martijn Van de Linde.

“These internationally recognized certifications are evidence of this very clear commitment.”
