The US-based Enova has announced that it has won a five-year renewal of its contract with Sharjah International Airports to provide facilities management services.
The company says the contract includes mechanical, electrical, and plumbing services, flight information display systems and security across the airport buildings.
It also includes airfield services including lighting, runway civil maintenance and communications, and navigation systems.
Enova also says it will introduce a variety of energy performance management (EPM) components that will provide savings for the airport and decrease energy consumption among the facilities to achieve sustainability targets.
“We are delighted to renew our commitment to the airport authorities in this new contract, ensuring travellers’ comfort and security, and streamlining the operations for the airport management,” said Ahmed Galal Ismail, Chairman of Enova.
Ali Salim Al Midfa, Chairman of Sharjah Airport Authority, said: “Our aim is to ensure the highest level of maintenance is made to all the airport’s facilities and infrastructure in order to operate efficiently around the clock. We are confident that this partnership with Enova will lead to excellent results, which all stakeholders and passengers will benefit from. We will also work to maximise the energy savings among the facilities as part of our environment conservation program.”
