Motorcity, the Bahraini dealer of Hino trucks, has delivered two Hino 700 series heavy-duty trucks with automated manual transmission (AMT) to Gulf Agency Company (GAC), a logistics firm based in Bahrain.

Motorcity recently launched light and heavy-duty Hino trucks equipped with AMT, it said in a statement.

Executives from the company handed over the keys to the two Hino AMT 4×2 tractor heads to Pontus Fredriksson, managing director of GAC Bahrain at its offices in Muharraq.

Japan’s Hino is the first brand to introduce automatic transmission into the light-duty truck segment in the kingdom, Motorcity said.

The heavy-duty Hino 700 series is suitable for various applications such as crane and cargo body configurations, tankers, refuse compactors, dump trucks as well as trailers, and offers a hauling capacity of 100t. Meanwhile, the Hino 300 series truck has a gross vehicle weight between 4.5 to 8.5t and is equipped with a Euro 3 engine, disc brake, ABS, airbag, automatic transmission and rear air conditioner cooling on the double-cab version.
