Jumeirah Golf Estates awards contract for Alandalus project in Dubai
Al Habtoor STFA Soil Group bags piling contract for the upcoming development
Dubai developer Jumeirah Golf Estates has awarded the piling contract for its Alandalus project to Al Habtoor STFA Soil Group, according to a company statement.
Construction on the project is scheduled to begin before the end of the month and completed before Expo 2020, the developer said.
Alandalus is Jumeirah Golf Estates’ latest development, consisting of 54 townhouses and 674 mid-market apartments, branded as affordable by the developer. Prices start from AED 597,000 (about $162,000).
The apartments at Alandalus will offer golf course views and shared amenities of swimming pools, tennis courts, children’s play areas and BBQ facilities.
“This is an exciting update for Jumeirah Golf Estates, [and] as development throughout the community continues, the beginning of Alandalus construction will further bring the community to life. Al Habtoor STFA Soil Group was a natural choice for the project, as one of the leading ground engineering companies in the MENA region,” said Yousuf Kazim, chief executive of Jumeirah Golf Estates.
This news of the contract comes following the recent announcement of Jumeirah Golf Estates’ first retail centre, scheduled for completion in the fourth quarter of next year.
Al Habtoor STFA Soil Group is a joint venture between Habtoor Leighton Group and STFA Construction Group.
