Al Habtoor Motors, the UAE dealer of the Mitsubishi Fuso Truck & Bus Corporation (MFTBC), has launched a new range of Fuso medium- and heavy-duty trucks.

With the introduction of the new FA, FZ and FJ series, MFTBC has vehicles catering to a wide range of payloads from 3-18t in the rigid range and 40-49t GCW in the tractor range.

The trucks were launched at an event held for fleet customers and media representatives at Ski Dubai in the Mall of the Emirates.

“Fuso has always focused on the needs of the customer and here in the UAE the Fuso range has already proved its reliability and profitability in the various sectors,” said Karl Hamer, Managing Director of Al Habtoor Motors.

“With the all-new robust, fuel-efficient, rugged Fuso range, customers will now have a wider choice of quality vehicles for specialist roles, with significantly lower operating costs.”

The vehicles featured at the event on November 18 were an FZ tractor head, FA medium duty truck chassis, and FJ heavy duty tipper.

Built for long distance operations, the FZ tractor head can be used for high-speed hauling in 40-49t category of trailers, car carriers and containers.

The FA medium duty truck can be deployed in various applications including cargo body, cargo body with crane, and refrigerated transport. It can also be used in special applications like garbage compactors, skip loaders, tippers, tankers and aerial platforms.

Meanwhile, the heavy duty FJ series can perform as a heavy-duty tipper or truck and is suitable for the same applications listed above. The series features six-speed or nine-speed overdrive transmission that reduces driver fatigue, while its fully adjustable seats and steering wheel offer better comfort in the cabin.

“Our all-new Fuso trucks have already gained a great reputation in other markets, thanks to their robustness and fuel efficiency,” said Roland Schneider, CEO of Daimler Commercial Vehicles MENA region.

“Until now the UAE has been a strong market for Fuso, and I am convinced that the new expanded range will add more choices for our customers. With the proven support of Al Habtoor Motors, the new range can ultimately help us to enhance our market-share.”
