Phase two of $6.5m adventure park in Saudi mountain area nears completion
Cable car system will be installed in Al Shuba Mountain park, says report
The Al-Ahsa Municipality is close to completing the second phase of a SR 24.7 million ($6.5 million) adventure park in Al Shuba Mountain in Saudi Arabia, reports Arab News.
According to Adel Al-Mulhim, Mayor of Al-Ahsa, the phase centres on two lakes, one in the lower region of the mountain covering an area of 7,000 square metres and the other 50 metres higher, covering 3,000 metres.
A cable car system will also be installed around them with three stations linking the summits to the mountain.
The park will be built over one million square metres and will also feature bridges, climbing nets and sky ropes around the summit. Game areas for children with shaded areas will also be set up.
“The Al-Ahsa Municipality wants to provide an attractive recreational area for young people, families and tourists, in line with the orders of the government, and while preserving the traditional identity of the region,” said Al-Mulhim.
