Eurobond, a UK manufacturer of composite panels, is showcasing its products at The Big 5 as part of a larger Welsh trade delegation.
The Cardiff-based company produces non-combustible core internal, external and ceiling composite panels manufactured using a fire-resistant stone wool insulant. The composite panels offer tested fire resistance and minimum smoke in the event of exposure to heat or flames, said Neil Kirkpatrick, Middle East business unit manager at Eurobond.
In addition, the product also helps contractors put up buildings faster, and can be used as a finished façade, Kirkpatrick said.
The firm has been faring well in the domestic UK market and is eyeing opportunities in the Gulf, Kirkpatrick said. “We’ve just finished our financial year and it’s the best trading year we’ve had in terms of turnover, profitability and volumes. It’s fairly buoyant.”
Within the GCC, the company has more of a presence in Oman and Saudi Arabia, but is actively targeting the UAE market through its presence at The Big 5, Kirkpatrick said. While the show was relatively quiet for the manufacturer on the first day, it picked up on the second, he added.
“We’d like to get away from the show with 50-100 leads, hopefully architectural contractors,” he told MEConstructionNews.com.
