Development set to become emirate’s first-of-its-kind mixed-use community
Real estate developer Tilal Properties says it has completed the initial arterial highways and commenced work on secondary roads at its AED 2.4 billion ($653m) land-plot project in Sharjah.
In a video, the company showcased the progress made on the Tilal City development a year after its launch.
Tilal City is set to be the first-of-its-kind mixed-use community in Sharjah.
The development comprises of 1,855 land plots that offer GCC nationals and UAE residents the opportunity to buy or lease land on which to develop properties, a first for Sharjah. It will also allow non-Arab expats to purchase plots on a 100-year leasehold basis.
The master-planned development has been spilt into five zones (A to E) and will occupy an area of 25 million square feet. It will provide high-quality affordable housing for 55,000 to 65,000 residents, in apartments, villas and townhouses.
Tilal City is located on Emirates Road and is just 10km from Sharjah’s International Airport and 2km from Dubai.
“Excellent progress has been made at Tilal City over the past 12 months,” said Haysam Jazairi, Business Development Executive Director at Tilal Properties.
“The completion of the initial phase of roadworks has also paved the way for other significant developments such as the installation of water and sewage pipelines and electric cable. We are in excellent shape to be ready to hand over Zone A and C at the end of next year.”
