Al Shirawi Interiors awarded contract for complete interior fit-out of $330m Cityland Mall

Al Shirawi Interiors, the interior fit-out specialist firm, has been awarded the contract for the complete interior fit-out of the Cityland Mall, the world’s first nature-inspired shopping destination that is being built in Dubai.

According to a statement, Al Shirawi Interiors will fit-out 450,000 square feet of space, including all entrances, pavilions, the hypermarket and washrooms. Construction of the Cityland Mall is being monitored by Hill International as the project manager, with completion scheduled for Q4 2018.

The $330 million retail project was conceived by Cityland Group, the creator and operator of the Dubai Miracle Garden and Dubai Butterfly Garden. The circular-shaped mall will have more than 350 stores spread across 12-million square feet. It will also feature a 200,000-square foot open-air garden that will serve as the mall’s architectural inspiration and anchor.

“The interior design of this project features some striking elements, the execution of which requires excellent craftsmanship and superior quality finishes. As a fit-out specialist with a proven track record, our client and consultant can be assured that we will deliver on both the counts,” said Ani Chacko, general manager of Al Shirawi Interiors.

Al Shirawi Interiors has executed fit-out scope for several retail projects in the past, including Deira City Centre, Ibn Battuta Mall, Bloomingdales and BurJuman Centre to name a few. In recent years, the company has built a solid reputation for working on cinema projects, having executed a number of works for operators such as Novo, Vox, Cine Royal and Reel.

“2018 is shaping up to be a good year. Our team of experienced project managers, talented designers, sizeable labour force and a state-of-the-art joinery that creates some of the finest wood products on the market, will give us a decisive advantage over our competitors in the future as well,” added Navin Valrani, CEO of Al Shirawi Interiors.
