Emaar Hospitality unveils plan for first Saudi properties

Debut hotel and serviced residence property to span almost 520,000 sq ft

Emaar Hospitality Group has outlined plans for a hotel and serviced residence in Saudi Arabia, in what will mark its first operations in the kingdom.

The group, a subsidiary of the Dubai-listed property giant Emaar, plans a 14-storey Vida Jeddah Gate hotel and 25-storey Vida Residences Jeddah Gate tower, which will offer units for sale to investors.

The towers are located in Jeddah Gate, a master-planned community by Emaar Middle East, close to the Al Haramain Express Train Station.

The hotel will feature 202 rooms and suites, while there will be 162 serviced residence units ranging from one to four bedrooms.

The two projects will span a total gross floor area of 519,204 sq ft, split nearly equally between the hotel and serviced residences.

Emaar Hospitality Group said in April that it plans to open 35 additional hotels and serviced residences as part of a global expansion drive.

It will open or take management agreements for the properties under its three flagship brands, The Address Hotels and Resorts, Vida Hotels and Resorts and Rove Hotels.
